Warm and cozy

Had a mostly stay-at-home weekend. Well, other than Friday, where we met deireanach, jestyna, and one of jestyna's LARPing friends for Korean, then headed over to the Hop in Brew on 12th, which for the non-local folk, is a a large, wooden-frame house from the turn of the century that's been converted into a pub/bar. They've got many scattered small tables and chairs, paned windows and creaky stairs, a stack of board games on the hearth, and make fantastic pizza. There was Scrabble-playing involved. Happy!Me.

Saturday, we made a major grocery-shopping expedition and filled the fridge. Then I saran-wrapped the windows. ... no, not literally. ;P I finally sealed them with that shrink-wrap-esque stuff you tape down and use the hair dryer on. The difference is amazing! You can no longer hold your hand up to the window and feel the cold air moving into the room is swirling gusts and eddies. Sunday involved six loads of laundry, playing cat-on-a-string with Minnow (I take string, and walk around. She follows, pouncing.), and season three and most of season four of Coupling. Addictive British carck-tv. guyindkny's fault!)

Tonight shall involve dinner at my parent's for my brother's birthday, and more Coupling. Whee!

How strange! I was at the Hop on Friday. I got there about 9:00ish.

I saw you. Pointed out the fact that I saw you come in the door. But no one believed me. I even went on recon for you when I went up to the Ladies room, but didn't find you. Small world. It's the hair, very recognizable across a crowded room.
