In which I don't make green rice
Aug. 29th, 2004 12:50 amNo, I didn't make green rice tonight, even though when I saw the recipe in my ReBar cookbook, I was sorely tempted. We had a
chaleur23-friendly meal (aka vegetarian and not too spicy, though it was not
jestyna-friendly because of the eggplant--yes, I know my friends' food quirks because my darling
troutkitty likes to feed people). We had miso-lemon satay eggplant and tofu skewers with a leek and shiitake brown rice pilaf. Mmmmm.
I hadn't touched my friends list in three days, and was at skip=280. Yikes. But now I'm sorta caught up. It's not the forty-hour work week thing, it's the starting at eight am. Though for once, I'm being all sensible about bedtime. The end result, however, is that I've been dead on my feet by ten thirty all week. Yawn. I think I'm going to need to write a separate post about initial impressions on this whole corporate library thing. (It's the quietest library I've EVER been in!)
chaleur23 linked to this, which she did warn is horribly addictive, and I can confirm that yes, yes it is. Heh.
On a completely unrelated note, I think that Mal Reynolds/Jack Sparrow would be a spiffy slashy crossover. But I am strange like that.
