A few small things of general good

Small bits of domestic good:

- Sunshine in the forecast for tomorrow.

- My rock garden seems to have taken! Nothing has died yet due to transplanting. I should snap a couple pictures tomorrow.

- Clean kitchen finally, after almost a week of half-heartedly loading the dishwasher and ignoring everything else.

- Skype knitting date tonight with an old friend, and we're going to do it again next week.

- Even though Mockingjay gutted me, then I read Friends With Boys by Faith Erin Hicks, which is an awesome little stand-along graphic novel about a girl with three older brothers starting high school after being home-schooled. Oh yeah, and there's a ghost. You can check out the first twenty pages online here.

Man, I finished Mockingjay on the train, when bell was still several chapters away from finishing (and of course I wasn't allowed to spoil her). So I'm trying not to break down sobbing in front of the whole train car and all I can say to bell is, "Books are stupid! They're all full of FEELINGS."

I seriously don't know if I'm going to be able to watch the third movie. Argh! I'm actually really glad I read them back-to-back, because if there had been waiting in between, I would have been even more attached to secondary characters... Barb said, oh, is it like Deathly Hollows? And I said, it's WORSE!

but, thank you for reminding me that i can get Friends with Boys! I'd really enjoyed the online pages, and it never occurred to me I could try to get the volume through the library :D i'll go see about that~

Yeah, the library will likely have it--it's been on all sorts of recommended lists! I liked The War at Ellesmere, but FWB is even better! (Also, a good Mockingjay antidote.)
