The rum? I know where it is. It is in the rum balls. We made both chocolate and ginger ones. (And yes,

chaleur23, we wrote down the recipe! Is going in your Christmas card, but I can email it if you want it sooner.) Yesterday, we went over to my parents', and made springerle (German Christmas cookies with anise extract) with my mom.

troutkitty has made the inside bit for the chocolate truffles. And peanut butter cookies, chocolate shortbread, mini brownies, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. The only thing that's left is the spicy almonds (dead simple), and possibly gingerbread. Now to, y'know, finish the Christmas shopping.

The new futon is very large. It does not fit in the corner that the old one was in, by about two inches on the arms. Have now rearranged living room, causing self large amounts of stress due to mood swings o' doom (I have the world's best girlfriend), and don't actively hate it. Yet.

Ooh, and holiday mail! Got a card from

dine (who always sends cool cards, thanks Dine!) and a package from

carlanime (Thank you!! Incidentally, how does your computer feel about playing AVI files from a DVD?), and need to send out my own cards ASAP if any of them are going to make it there remotely around Christmas. (Drop me a line of you don't think I have your address, and want to be added to the list.)

But the rum balls? Definitely have rum in them. I can tell you that from a good foot away from the bowl. Mmm, rum balls. I need me a PotC icon, I think.
