Whoops, I just kind of fell out of the habit of posting again

He certainly has a turn of the phrase, does Mr Dickens..

Looks like Speranza's Four Minute Window series is coming back with another Advent calendar this year! I've spent the last couple days dipping in and out of it comfort-re-reading, and damn do I love the grasp she has on complex character development.

I am sure all three of you still reading here are familiar, but I described it elsewhere as an ongoing annual canon-divergent Avengers series where Steve and Bucky (eventually) have a renovation/restoration business in New York, and is heavily character and relationship focused, with a fair bit of past/present history interwoven. Slice of life-ish, with some bigger over-arching plots, and some awesome tangents into multimedia/meta additions starting with the fictional Yelp reviews for their company and branching out from there

 

(Also, last year another fan started a miniature recreation of their apartment in the fic and blogged the process on Tumblr, and it was amazing.)

And because I feel like I need three things to make a list, here's a fluffy m/m romance novella series I've enjoyed, modern-with-magic alternating Halloween and Christmas themed, with a new book coming in a few days.

I've also been rereading (and enjoying a lot) Four Minute Window - it's a fantastic marker of the season for me! thanks for reminding me of the miniature apartment, Imma go take another look, because that was an awesome project

I'm always in the market for good stuff to add to my TBR stack, so will go take a look at the series.
