TV flail, of the bad sort

daemonlunaFirst of all, How I Met Your Mother, , WTF? I mean, they telegraphed Marshall's dad dying, but still, I felt like I tuned into the wrong show. It just feels like they're flailing about, trying to redefine themselves, and it's just not quite clicking for me. Sigh.
And Medium, oh man, WORST SERIES FINALE EVER. What the HELL was that? I cannot believe that in the SERIES FINALE, out of the blue, they KILLED JOE. One of the things I liked best about the show was the whole family dynamic--the juggling of job, kids, and Allison and Joe's solid relationship. I loved the way Joe and the kids were there as fully-developed characters in their own right, and not just to get kidnapped or get jealous. And to have Joe die in a plane crash out of NOWHERE in the FINALE was so incredibly gratuitous, pointless, and DUMB. GAHHHHHH. FLAIL!
We only now finished this season of Psych, and they are so much better when they don't try to be serious. Twin Peaks spoof ep FTW. Community and Big Bang Theory are holding their own. And White Collar makes me gleeful. So there.
