House, all I can say is WTF? That was really random. Also, very... Canadian. AKA, were those colour filters really necessary?

Being Erica, your season finale did not disappoint! Oh, man. First of all, I love how the penultimate (heartbreaking) episode of the season didn't revolve around Erica finds loooooove. Not that she and Ethan aren't cute and all, but I liked that it wasn't ALL about the relationship. The utter heartbreak of her situation made it hard to watch, though. Any more coherent comments than that require me to have had considerably more sleep than I have had, though.

And troutkitty and I were just talking the other day about how the most powerful bits can be when a character acts out of character with good cause. Michael Riley is is GOOD, good enough to make Dr Tom losing his unruffled calm goosebump-inducing.

And I have mainlined all three seasons of Psych in less than a month. It is fun and clever and self-referential and has random recurring pineapples! But seriously, fandom. WTF is up with Shawn/Lassiter being the main OTP? Are you BLIND? Shawn/Gus CLEARLY = not just BFF but OTP! (And... Gus/Jules? Just to get them paired up and out of the way? REALLY?) I sputtered in indignation. A lot. troutkitty laughed at me.

And MOST EXCITINGLY! I HAVE THE NEW TAMORA PIERCE BOOK! I preordered Bloodhound last-last December and it showed up in my mailbox TODAY! I am saving it for the weekend when I can devour it all in one sitting. Mmmm, one-of-favourite-authors new fiction.

THANK YOU. Shawn and Gus are MARRIED. ("I claimed you on my taxes, Shawn!!!") People who do not see this need to go to the principal's office. No one should be friends with them.

Also, Gus and Jules! Both cute. Have had exactly two brief moments in canon, iirc, where they even SPOKE TO EACH OTHER as individuals and not just "come on, Shawn's over here" and stuff like that. NOT SECRETLY IN LOVE.

(Although I do think it would be hilarious if Gus and Jules *had* been carrying on a torrid romance behind Shawn's back for like the past three years and just kind of neglected to tell him about it. BUT STILL.)

Oh, Shawn and Gus are SO MARRIED. And I wouldn't be so very indignant about Shawn/Lassie (I hate pairing-smush names. Shassie. *shudder*) if the fact that Gus weren't totally erased from the picture in almost all the fic I have seen. Clearly, he is a hugely important part of Shawn's life, and emotional stability.

I can see Shawn/Lassie as a fling or something, but madly in love? Oh, fandom. Sigh. (And, um, fandom? I can see Shawn in a BDSM relationship. I can see him as a sub. But... topped by Lassie? Really? Like, REALLY?)

And on the Gus/Jules front, I could be convinced that they might, in fanfic, eventually end up together. Maybe. There would be much bickering and eye-rolling and it would probably be cute. But throwing them together into an established relationship. Um. Consider my disbelief severely sprained.

(Although... Shawn/Gus/Jules OT3? Hee.)

Yay! Nice to hear another Being Erica fan! And yes, it was an awesome episode, and I am most gratified that it will be back next year, albeit with fewer episodes because of the whole financial crisis that the CBC finds itself in.

A second season? Oh, yay! I am not sure that they will be able to sustain the premise for more than a few seasons, but the way the last ep ended... I hope we see more Dr Tom.
