So. Many. Endbands.

Binderary day four! SO many headbands. So many. Six books' total.



I've done a second round of glue and added paper or mull (the mesh cloth) to the spines on everything that's got headbands.

Next step is cases, my nemesis. And gluing the spines for everything in the book stack. (I need to remember that I have to trim the edges BEFORE adding the headbands.) I've still got three more ready to print... and at least two more to finish formatting.

Workshops today on sewing headbands, folding origami star books, and a state-of-the-union panel from the fine folks of renegadepublishing . I'm looking forward to the one tomorrow on glueless embroidered bindings!

Binderary Day Five!


 

Three textblocks glued and ready to trim tomorrow, two full-sizebooks where I've measured and cut the case material, one quarto (half-size, a quarter of a letter-sized sheet of paper) that needs headbands, and four more little quartos ready for cases. Two more text blocks that need gluing and endpapers.


 

Two more ready to print, two more to tweak typesetting, and I need to decide if I'm including the book I cased in two months ago that only needs titling in my final count. I've got some fic earmarked for pamphlets and short things to get me to twenty.

I need to make some progress on cases tomorrow night, because I've got other commitments most of the rest of the week, with a Pride meeting, and a loom spot at the weaver's guild on one of the projects starting on Tuesday

One workshop today, on glueless and embroidered binding. @queercore-curriculum makes intricate and beautiful things, and I want to give their method a try!

Also accomplished: laundry, most of the dishes, an online grocery order, and made a pot of kind of mediocre lentil soup. I've got something for weekday lunches, at least.
