Strange but true...
Jul. 13th, 2006 10:12 pmMany of you have probably heard that my mom has a book coming out this fall. I may even have mentioned that she wants to have the book launch at the zoo, since it figures prominently in the book.
Her publisher thought this was a good idea, and contacted the zoo. The publicist was told that the zoo wanted to see the book first, so they sent over a copy of the galleys.
The zoo director read it, and has decided that the book is inappropriate, and the launch cannot be held there.
The reason? In this work of adult literary fiction, there is bad language.
*boggle*
Now, of course, she's hoping to get some more publicity from this. Here's hoping.
