I am going to crawl into bed shortly and I am going to sleeeeep.

After spending all weekend sick and mostly either sleeping or trying to, this was my Very Busy Monday:

Get up. Get ready. Look everywhere for keys. Wonder if [livejournal.com profile] troutkitty accidentally took them to Edmonton with her (for she left at 5:30am this morning.) Leave house ten minutes late with spare house key.

Go to work at school A. Monday is my "quiet" day, fortunately. Spend morning dealing with overdue notices, student volunteers, and various and sundry other things that are not my huge backlog of cataloguing. Find keys in bottom of bag.

Fifteen minutes: Eat lunch. Obligingly picked up by my mom (with half-eaten lunch) and driven to:

School B, where I'm subbing. Spend afternoon dealing with their overdue notices and massive cataloguing backlog. Oh, and truly wicked cramps. Just what I needed.

Leave school. Mom gives me a ride home, where I dash in long enough to grab my materials (read: wheelie suitcase full of books) for workshop. Eat what passes for supper (half a bagel and a handful of microwave popcorn--long story) in the car.

Teach three hour workshop. Me and fifty-plus pounds of books kindly given ride home by owner-of-workshop-giving-company.

Get home fourteen hours after leaving.

Change kitty litter.

Eat first not-in-car meal of the day. (Including the granola bar on the bus this morning.) (Does crackers, cheese, and a mandarin orange count as a meal?)

Now all I have to do is send an email out to tonight's workshop participants with some updated stats from the presentation, and sort out what I'm reading/booktalking to my three classes first thing tomorrow morning (grade five, kindergarten, grade three), and then I can sleep.

I remember a month and a half period as an undergrad when I was working seventy-two hour weeks. I am so, so glad that today was the exception rather than the rule.
