The obligatory SGA vid recs post....
Jul. 28th, 2005 10:43 pm.... because I wasted half the afternoon mucking about looking for vids. Well, actually, I was originally looking for new wallpaper. (Anybody got a favourite site I should know about? I am easily distracted by the shiny-pretty, whether it's media-based or not.)
Mamoru's vids are great. My favourite are "Falling For the First Time," "Head Over Feet," "Comic Book Heroes," and "I'm Losing You."
Pertifity A couple of good ones here. I like "Holding Out for a Hero," because it's all Rodney-centred and ironic. (And.... I haven't seen much SG-1 but was that Teal'c dressed as ELVIS?)
MartoufMarty has a whole bunch of stuff up. I've only watched a few so far. The "Atlantis Under Siege" vid (to "Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm of the War Drums" by A Perfect Circle, which is one of
troutkitty's favourites) was good, and though Evanescence is incredibly-totally-completely overused for any kind of vid, "Taking Me Over" is interesting insofar that it's a Teyla/Weir vid. And you have to scroll down to the bottom, and watch "Steve." The choice of footage is kind of weak in the middle, but there's only so much Steve footage to work with. Nonetheless, the concept made me laugh. Out loud. A lot.
Lilas has some more good SGA BNL vids ("One Week" and "I Know"). I don't know why SGA and BNL go so well together...
The vid nominations for
mcshep_awards05 look like they've got a bunch of good stuff, though I haven't been through them all yet.
And now I need to go make myself a Steve/Shepperd OTP icon because I'm evil like that.
