Harry Potter incoming in a little more than twenty-four hours! We're heading over to Chapters tomorrow at midnight to get a copy, and then to the library the next morning to get a second copy because I am third on the hold list for the whole regional system.

I'm ignoring all the media circus, about the release, and about the series itself and about is it or isn't it overhyped or poorly written, or brilliant. I just want to sit down and read the book. (Although the release party at Chapters in Toronto where they're turning an entire city block into Diagon Alley sounds way too cool. Yes, I am a giant geek.)

However, I am also hugely thrilled because we're going in to Calgary on Sunday to hear Emma Bull and Will Shetterly read. How cool is that? (Anyone else who's going up for supper plans afterwards?)

I'm insanely jealous of the Bull/Shetterly reading - that sounds fabulous! I've long loved both of them - since War for the Oaks and the Bordertown and Liavek anthologies, they've both been on my admired authors list.
