Blueberries sound vile with it, but it's fine with peaches and pineapple. MMM, pineapple! I could go for some of that right now.

Is it just a general dislike of blueberries, or the combination of the two?

I like it with most kinds of fresh fruit--well, not so much your standard apples oranges bananas. But blueberries, nectarine, and strawberries? Yum! I think I need to go to the farmer's market this weekend...

I don't think I'm a fan of cottage cheese, with anything or by itself. Yet I thought the same of cream cheese, when I first encountered it; now I'm a fan. So I guess if you wanted to convince me, I'd have to try it first.

It's also very good with a dark variety of lettuce, not iceberg or head lettuce, green leaf or perhaps romaine (which is even darker and more bitter). There is something about the stronger leafy taste that hints at bitterness really working well with a good cottage cheese.

Also, cucumbers are indeed excellent with it. One of my favorite salads is simply dark leaf lettuce with cottage cheese, topped by either a pineapple ring or some cucumber slices.

Ooh! What's also good--cottage cheese with avacado, cucumber, and grape tomatoes. Add some green onion and cracked black pepper on top... I think I'm hungry.

I've always preferred my cottage cheese with veggies -- tomatoes and cucumbers - heavily sprinkled with pepper. But I am reminded by other commenters that peaches are good with it, too.

I've never tried blueberries, but pineapple and pears and peaches = yum²

I've also tried it with frozen fruit, but it was frozen mango and peaches, and they just go all mushy.

Strange as it sounds, Thousand Island dressing goes well with cottage cheese. I discovered this at the salad bar at the White Spot (back when they used to have a salad bar.) I don't know if I'd just eat it on its own that way, but with a salad it's awesome.

Cottage cheese and blueberries? They're great... separate. Together, there's something about too-sweet cottage cheese that Just. Ain't. Right.
