Creepy and kooky
Nov. 2nd, 2004 10:17 amFrom all accounts, the Halloween party was a success! The final menu ended up being meatball eyeballs (meatballs with half a green olive shoved into it), peanut butter zombie mouse cookies (zombies because the frickin' peanut ears kept falling off!), home-made caramel apples (the leftovers of which m'girl has promised to make into caramel apple pie), a laaarge platter of raw veggies with hummus and dip, chocolate eyeballs, and various munchy things brought by friends, including
nekosei's evil, evil caramel-covered popcorn twists.
Assorted people did wear costumes (including
drakkenfyre as a CSI person, with a science-kit thingie and all,
queenzulu in her Faith get-up, and Mannie as a good little Communist girl, with her hair in braids, and a Gideon's New Testament doing double-duty as her little red book--she says she made a couple of Asian guys in the liquor store do a double-take, hee!) and I think we've determined that maximum occupancy of our living room is less than fifteen-plus people. Next year, I may have to do some more furniture re-arranging.
Next year, I will use a green glow-stick in the balloon head of my hung-body ghostie outside, since the blue one hardly showed. Also, I want to get a couple more pumpkins and put them outside. And get cardboard cut-outs and get everyone to design a tombstone to go on the balcony.
But I think all in all, it went pretty well. Except I never want to do it on a Sunday night again. ^_^;
