La la la...
Sep. 23rd, 2004 09:36 pm... still haven't read my friends list in many days. Daunting prospect. But m'girl is deserting me to take her students on a field trip to Banff. I don't really mind. (Especially since even though she's going to pick up the van at 7am, she's just going to have to take the car so I don't have to get up and drive her and anyhow I'd have to get her there before seven to come home and catch my bus to work. Heh. I love you, hon.)
A couple of my friends have been seduced into getting lj accounts. Like
joan_not_jaon and
cguy. Mwaha! And
naked_bandit has to post pictures of her dolly with the pierced nipples.
After agonizing over it and dragging it out a week longer than I needed to, I've now sent off the course description for the first workshop I'm teaching. I feel better. And I still owe Mark a review for Anime Alberta, but I did post another review, of the Kiki's Delivery Service novel, that I wrote ages ago and forgot about.
Went to a library association luncheon today on reading company's annual reports. Um. Free food, and the dessert was yummy. Okay, I did learn some stuff. Though I do hope I never need to use it because it doesn't interest me in the slightest. The more different libraries I work in, the more I'm sure of what I've known all along--that in the long run, I want to be back in youth services in a public library.
My girl is watching The Apprentice. Trout is sprawled on the cubes beside the window. Minnow was asleep on the floor. Now she's prowling around the desk, meepling incessantly at me. Dunno what her problem is.
Hmm. I'm bored with my icons. I think I need a couple new ones...
