Obscure Canadian TV
Jun. 4th, 2004 02:45 pmFinally got around to watching the first ep of The Collector, airing on Space. It's vaguely Brimstone-esque (says I, even though I never did get around to watching Brimstone) insofar as it's about this guy working for the devil.
Morgan, (who is the bastard love child of Duncan Macleod and Callum Keith Rennie) is a Collector for the Devil, collecting lost souls, and trying to save them before it's too late. Somewhere in there, I figure his own redemption's going to figure into the picture. There's a reporter with an autistic son, and a possibly-ex heroin junkie in the picture, too.
It's all moody and dramatic. And Canadian, set in Vancouver. It's supposed to run thirteen eps, so we'll see how it goes.
Me, I'm waiting for This is Wonderland to start reurns on Mon so I can finally see the frickin' pilot! Let's just hope that if the Flames lose tonight and there is one more game, it's Tues. Because I can tell you right now that of course CBC will pre-empt everything else for hockey.
