... because the Flames won tonight. I'm not a big hockey fan, but I don't actively dislike the sport, it's just.... (leans out window, yells towards 17th Ave.) ... stop honking your damn horns already! The game was over almost an hour ago!

Anyhow. Attempting to count my blessings today, for various reasons.

I got my precious chesnut cream coffee beans! The trick is, apparently, to go down to The Planet when the bean roaster guy is there, and he'll make up a batch even if it's not out in the display container thingies on the counter. Yummmmmm.

Also, I have officially been accepted as a reviewer for Voya. Yay! The only recompense is getting to keep the books you review, but hey, it also looks kick-ass on my resume.

And, troutkitty has a job interview tomorrow, with a fairly well-known ESL school. Now I just need another temporary gig, or dear-god-yes-please, a real, full-time position.

Oh! And the Great Washing Machine Saga is almost at an end! We should be getting a new washer and dryer in the building at the end of the month! This has only been going on for a year now.

Minnow is chirbling at me. She's a very squeaky cat. And very wierd. She's been spilling the water dish deliberately because she likes to drink off the floor instead. Not so fun when you step in the resultant puddles at four a.m.

Assorted fanfic recs to follow very shortly, once I find the couple links I mislaid. Heh.

I'm sorry but you have to officially suck for having the flames won. If it weren't for the puck in Yzerman's eye in the game Saturday, we'd have done a lot better! ^_^;

What is it about hockey that turns grown men into purile infants anyway? I was working on 17th on Saturday when it was all the ceaseless noise, and even the streakers (which really, weren't too great to look at), and last night at 11.30, past when I went to bed an hour later... And I seem to get it worse than you do, because I'm right downtown. *shakes fist*
