Many short random things
Mar. 9th, 2004 10:21 pm- My girl and I celebrated our three year anniversary yesterday. Dinner and then home with box of Bernard Callebeaut chocolate. Mmmmm. And the smoochies, of course.
- The great saga of the washing machine continues, insofar that the residents of the building are staging a coupe. The condo board IS Tammy the Condo Bitch. Nobody is happy with her, so they're holding a general meeting and getting rid of her. We may actually get a (and this is the key word) WORKING washing machine! This has been going on for almost a year now, I swear. Hmrph.
- Saw Hidalgo. Pretty ponies and costumes and stuff. Not lusting after Viggo Mortensen, and inaccuracies that even I with my incredibly limited equestrian knowledge could pick out, but it was a good story for all that. Though now I want to know more about the actual facts to contrast and compare.
- Gone from working fifteen hours a week in an elementary school library to three whole days of no work (two being weekend) to thirty hours a week in a jr high library, for the next month and a half. Yay, me! Though it was all rather "Okay, here are the keys, buh-bye!" Cut to me, standing there going, "uhhh... log-ins and passwords for the computer? Any volunteers coming in? Do I believe the kids when they say they can sign stuff out without their ID cards? Where are the pens? Um, hello?" That aside, it was very slow. Really nice, bright library with a decent collection, though.
- My parents had an envelope come in the mail that was sent in the US, properly addressed, yet somewhat worn and stamped "Missent to Malaysia." Huh. Go figure.
- Blinding headache, due to low blood sugar. I'm usually okay if I oh, actually eat something when this starts but if I leave it long enough, resulting pain cannot be subdued by food and magic blue advil and I need to go have a bit of a lie-down. Cursing own stupidity. Going to bed now, since for the next month at least, I start at eight. Yeck.
