Prejudice knows no bounds

Tonight was Wed. This means that we headed out and spent a couple hours hanging out with friends at a local pub. And there was much questionable conversation about fannish and non-fannish things, and then we headed back to the car. In the next block, where we parked the car, happen to be two of the gay bars. (Whiiich would explain the proliferation of rainbow-sticker bearing vehicles in the general vicinity, wouldn't it?)

And just as I'm getting into the car (which bears its own rainbow splotch on the passenger side window) these three gayboys, alllll attitude pass by. One of them tosses over his shoulder at me, all scornful-like as only the testosterone-ridden young thing he is can be, "Breeder."

Now isn't that just too ironic for words? And all I could do at the time was say "Uh, noooo..." Sorry to burst your bubble, little boy. (Incidentally, that's me, big with the witty come-backs AFTER the fact.) And I think he really needs to take his gaydar back for a full refund.

Barb wanted to go kick his ass, but it REALLY wasn't worth it.

There are many philosophical type things that can be said here about prejudice, appearances, etc., but it's late and I still have to put together an outreach storytime for tomorrow that I didn't get done at work this afternoon.

I don't care whether or not I look gay. It's the whole sleeping with another woman thing that kid of clinches it, ne?

Ooohhh, don't waste a perfectly good can of tuna on them (I'll eat that!) unless it's in oil. Tuna in oil is disgusting, so feel free to pelt them with *that* ;D
