daemonlunaWhee, I took last week off work! For the Victoria Day weekend, we headed to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
troutkitty's parents, then into Calgary and kidnapped queenzulu and drakkenfyre, who are the most awesometastic friends ever and stayed with troutkitty (who is doing much better but still on-and-off having arm issues and migraine issues and reactions to the painkillers issues), as I headed out to Vancouver for three days for my mom's convocation.
Yay for my mom, she now has a MFA in creative writing! I am still puzzled as to how my youngest brother managed to FORGET HIS LUGGAGE AT HOME. But anyhow. We stayed in a lovely historic bed and breakfast, wandered around the UBC campus and oh god, I miss being in a city with good restaurants.
Then, I came home and we headed out to the Kananaskis for the weekend for my darlingtroutkitty's birthday (which was yesterday). It was oppressively drippy and low-skyed grey and rainy and cold, but who cares when you have a fireplace in your room? She is doing better and is contracted to write two more books!
So now we are home and I am tired and not ready to go back to work tomorrow because I know exactly how much email and work attached to said email piling up in my inbox. Sleep will help. I'm pretty sure.
