Meet Alice

troutkitty's poor, departed laptop Melville, but she has bought herself a new and better laptop in the inevitable two-months-to-tell-you-it-can't-be-fixed interval. I am posting from the COUCH! On my OWN LAPTOP. My girl is the best.
I am dead tired, though. It was an eleven-and-a-half hour day. There was a Big Important meeting for all staff, and I voluntarily took a couple hours on the bookmobile so one of the affected people could go. Overtime hours, yay me! (But I am working the weekend, so I will be SO ready for next weekend when it gets here.)
The bookmobile is quite cool. Usually, it stops in town at schools and community places, but this was the third time out on a brand-new biweekly visit to a nearby small town with no library. It was pretty slow, but the people who do come by are so thrilled that it feels worthwhile. Except that the parking spot town council has designated is right beside the local pub, and when I got out, B, the driver and general in-charge bookmobile person had to pull down the front window sunshades because the drunk guys on the pub patio were whistling at her and making a nuisance of themselves.
Right now, I desperately need to crawl into bed and sleep. So that's just what I'm going to do.
