Moving day!

We're moving July 3, the Monday of the Canada Day weekend. Let me know if you can come and help!

And is anyone willing and able to come down to Lethbridge (it takes about two hours) and help us unload the truck at the other end? ^_^; We offer food, and someplace to crash overnight if you'd like (though I do realize Tuesday is a work day.)

So a nice, relaxing summer then...

It's been an insane week--I got the job offer last Thursday night, so a bit more than a week ago. Since then, I've resigned from my current job as of the beginning of July, told the staff at the school (I'll be telling the kids this week that I won't be back in the fall), given notice to our landlady, spent all day last Monday driving around Lethbridge and have found a new place, and started packing.

Also, we bought rings last weekend, made arrangements for the wedding cake yesterday, and met with the marriage commissioner today.

To do in the next few days: wedding invitations, pick up wedding rings, transfer phone, cable, and get mail forwarded, book a U-Haul, mail off damage deposit, pack, pack, pack. I have to get all the year-end stuff done at school, while documenting policies and procedures for next year, and getting everything into some semblance of understandable order for whoever comes in next.

More bits and pieces of detail forthcoming, along with the story of my mom and the blue heron, what I've found time to read lately, and the usual random recs and links--though not as many as anticipated, since I lost fifteen windows of tabs a few days ago. Oops.

Here's hoping the fall is nice and calm...
