Happy turkey day!
Oct. 11th, 2004 09:04 pmI am officially all turkey'ed and pumkin pie'd out.
Two turkeys and four pumpkin pies later...
Last weekend we went to see Shaun of the Dead (which I highly recommend, incidentally) with
deireanach,
jestyna and her sister, and afterwards, had pumpkin pie from Safeway.
This weekend, Friday we did a movie night at
queenzulu's, and we brought Safeway pumpkin pie again, since at this point, they were marked down to $2.50 per pie.
drakkenfyre outdid us, and made cookies right then and there. Mmmm, hot out of the oven cookies... And there was Zim, and dear god my eyes,
chaleur23 brought the notorious Star Wars Holiday Special, and
mockingspike brought Camelot and took it in very good grace when we all realized how very, very gay it was (Lancelot/Arthur! With all the kneeling! And the flowers! And the longing LOOKS! Obviously, it should have ended with Arthur/Lancelot/Guinevre=OT3!)
And Soul Survivors, for the Eliza Dushku. Though I watched the first fifteen minutes, went for a nice, rambly walk with
chaleur23 as she was wired on cookies and I was falling asleep, and came back for the last twenty minutes or so. Halfway through which I started to suspect that I had seen it before. To which
troutkitty responds quite patiently that yes, we have, we rented it when we were living in Edmonton, don't I remember? It was just as muddled second time through, really.
Saturday, I did not eat pumpkin pie.
troutkitty went with me to kidnap
zoi_no_miko and go visit
naked_bandit, and there was a side trip to Tim Horton's (Halloween doughnuts! With sprinklesd like little pumpkins and bats!!!), and take
naked_bandit's little dollies, and swap all their clothes so the boys looked like girls and vice versa. Hee.
Yesterday was turkey and pie at my parents, tonight was turkey and ham and pie at m'girl's folks, and yeah. Salad sounds good, for the next week or so.
Except for birthday cake tomorrow.
