Headline from CBC entertainment section: Gay Marriage Comes to Springfield
Heh. I should try watching the Simpsons again this fall.

Also, the American Psycological Association issues perss release supporting same-sex marriage:
This seven-member team of psychologists with a combination of both scientific expertise in family and couple relations and professional expertise with lesbian, gay, and bisexual populations summarized the research that discrimination and prejudice based on sexual orientation detrimentally affects the psychological, physical, social and economic well-being of lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals, that same-sex couples are remarkably similar to heterosexual couples, and that parenting effectiveness and the adjustment, development and psychological well-being of children is unrelated to parental sexual orientation.
Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] simplelyric who got it from [livejournal.com profile] gaystr8alliance.

Pretty dead here today. Random co-worker type guy whose name I don't recall wandered by and made small-talk. All the while, I was in the middle of taking apart the computer keyboard with a fork, having sloshed iced tea into it several minutes previously. Heh.

So totally just a guilty pleasure: the third book of Laurell K. Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series came in on hold for me at the library. (Y'know, not the Anita Blake series, the one with all the gratuitous smutty bits.) I've come to the realization that not only do I not remember the second book, A Caress of Twilight, I also don't remember whether or not I've read it, and whether or not I have a copy anywhere at home.

(Shutupshutupshutup, [livejournal.com profile] alessar! *g*)

So I signed that out too, and conclude that, several chapters in, I still don't know for sure if I've already read it. That's okay. I need the junk food reading. The latest book I have to review was decidedly underwhelming. (Though I've been told that the latest Charles De Lint is on its way to me! Eeee!)

Also, I want a hammock. Then I can sprawl in it on the balcony, with book and iced slushy drink. And it would baffle the cats to no end. Hee.
