Here we go again...

I still haven't done that what I've been reading book post, have I? Huh. May have to do that tomorrow. Because I've got another contract. Junior high library again, which is good, thirty hours a week, which is even better. It might be two weeks, it might be until the end of June, depending on how sick person-I'm-filling-in-for is. Still holding out for a preferably permanent position, actually at a professional level. Same song, umpteenth verse.

Spent large chunk of day doing line edits on troutkitty's book, so she could play the novel exchange game with jestyna. And my girl got the cheque for her story, so yay! Here's to professional sales!

There's a sale-type thing going on at Phoenix Comics, local folk on my flist take note. (I got Vampire Princess Miyu OAVs--on video, granted, but for $5 each and actually subbed. Er. I hope. *goes and checks* Yup, subbed. And a $3 Scully action figure. Discount Scully! Now she can get ravished by my Dru action figure, or something.)

I can only conclude that the aforementioned friend we helped move last weekend, his mother, was cleaning out her kitchen. Because further unpacking ensued and he fed us pizza in recompense yesterday, and he has four vegetable peelers of varying degrees of antiquity, a zester (which I made vague attempts to explain), a (very nice that I wanted to kidnap) garlic press, and only one knife. And hopefully, another box somewhere containing pots and pans because you can't cook macaroni and cheese on a pizza pan, ie, only pot or pan to yet surface. Anyhow.

I think I shall scoop up this small cat who is napping on jestyna's manuscript, and take her into the bedroom with me. Because I have to be halfway across the city and conscious enough to function at 8:30 tomorrow morning. This is me going to set up the coffee maker...
