I'm not writing This is Wonderland slash when I should be asleep, no really. But if I did, it might look something like this:

Alice's girlfriends have all (or to be more accurate, both) turned out to be psychotic in the end. Or delusional. Or straight. At least her boyfriends have only been pathetic. She's sworn off girls for good, or at least that's what she's telling herself.

Besides, she's not entirely sure how one would go about coming out in the workplace. Or if one should. Or even if a brief period of experimentation in university even qualifies one to come out at all, never mind the recurring dreams about Angelina Jolie. (And she will deny on pain of death that she saw Tomb Raider at all, let alone in the theatre. Twice.)

Adn I'm definitely not working on two different stories at once. (Unless it's two POVs that want to be one story...) I know nothing about lawyering. Dammit. Where's a copy of TV courtroom speak for dummies 101 when you need it?

If you were ever in doubt of, or have yet to experience, the genius of Rick Mercer, take a look at these: "The Mars Rover Jr: It Takes Pictures of Rocks" and "Not Drunk. Just Bad."

But more importantly.

...

Barb got a story published!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My girl is a published writer! It's a professional sale, even. To an evil elf anthology. Bwah. YAY!

And I had a promising job interview at the university, eight-month term position as humanities liason librarian. (Except there was the part where my pen blew up all over my hands. But hopefully I scored points for not letting it fluster me.) Fingers crossed! And kind of stained blue...

Must figure out a plot for that This is Wonderland fic. Hmm.
