Booklisting tendencies

I booklist. It's mostly just a mental grouping of like things. But lately, I've been working on booklist-y things at work. I'm on a "If you like..." kick right now. Currently on the go: fantasy list "If you like" split up by Harry Potter, Ella Enchanted, Artemis Fowl, and Lord of the Rings. Lemony Snicket readalikes. Hatchet readalikes. Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants readalikes.

And because I am occasionally compulsive about such things, I spent a large chunk of the weekend compiling a list of Canadian YA books with GLBT themes. Um. Yeah. Feel free to share the link, and add suggestions if you know of anything I missed.

Coming soon, fandom content. As soon as it's not too hot to think.

Cool, I'll check it out once I'm home (in the ridiculously vain hope that not physically being in the library will make me request items from the list less compulsively).

I am curious--let me know if you have many of the books at your library. I don't know how many Canadian titles are widely available in the US, alas. (I highly recommend Carrie Mac, Glen Huser, Martha Brooks, Beth Goobie, and Suan Juby out of the bunch. And I haven't read Swimming in the Monsoon Sea yet, but it was a major award-winner.)

Actually, fandom content requires me to pull my random list o' fanfic links I've been meaning to post off one computer onto the other, and I'm lazy. *g*
