queenzulu is back in town between camping trips, we've forced her to watch Boa vs Python. And when I say forced, I make sarcastic little air-quotes around it with my fingers.
The premise of the movie: Okay, there's a giant python on the loose, and it's probably the fault of some big game hunter guy. (Exceptqueenzulu said this from the next room, and I heard "big gay hooker." Which would have made a better movie.) The FBI's solution? To stop this python, let's send a giant boa after it! Yeah!
David Hewlett was the scientist guy who owned the boa. Which provided such brilliant (innuendo-free, no really) lines as "You want to do WHAT to MY boa?"
More of the same:
"Maybe you should go clean up. I think you have a piece of liver on your cheek."
"That was a CIA project gone bad."
"Yes, if by bad you mean giant snakes escaped into Russia and ate everyone on the project."
"This is big. And big is nice." (Sharpe to Rodney re: his boa)
"Colour me officially curious... what kind of situation could possibly justify the use of his boa and my implants?"
"How well could your boa perform in an uncontrolled environment?"
"I'd like to use your boa."
"You want to do WHAT to MY boa?"
"I'm siding with my own species."
"Your equipment is incredible..."
"If I were an 80' disgusting reptile, those tunnels are exactly where I'd want to go to wait out the sun and find a drink."
"Soldiers!" (said in a pet-calling type voice, after someone's asked him where the soldier are)
On the pregnant snake:
"I don't know if it's the hormones, the food, or what."
"Maybe it's just nature's way of telling you you're doing it right, Doc."
Heeeee. Yes, we're really that easily amused.
