Micellaneous bits of ongoing life

I've got another library sub gig, at an elementary school in the NE. The good news, I start next Tues and go until the end of June. The bad news, it's still not a professional position, and only twenty-five hours a week. The good news, I get Fridays off. Also, it's right near the Hunterhorn Bakery, which does some of the best bbq pork buns in the city!
I went to the nursery with my mom today and came back with a trunkful of herbs, and a few flowers. She's advised me to wait for another couple weeks before getting a lot of the flowers, but for now I have pansies (which like the cold) and geraniums, my sweet peas are starting to look like actual seedlings, and my morning glories are juuuust starting to pop their heads up. I've filled up the planter boxes with chives, basil, thyme and oregano, and parsley. I still need cilantro, and my mom's promised me summer savoury and mint. I'm going to try runner beans this year, and throw the summer savoury in with 'em.
Finally finished the review of that awful, awful historical novel I've been dragging out for months. ("Well, bless my buckskins!" exclaims the innkeeper...) Two more reviews to go, both to be done by Sunday, though neither of the books is anywhere as painful. (I may need to get
chaleur23's advice on one of them, since it's a hockey story, and I have no idea if the actual hockey game bits make sense.)
I still need to gather some coherent thoughts on House tonight, but *happysigh*, all with the intertwined narratives, and the general meta and post-modernish-ness of it, makes me happy.
