Holiday Preparedness
Dec. 24th, 2006 10:39 amIn less than five hours (ie, when the girl gets off work) we're taking off for Calgary to spend Christmas with my family tonight, and the inlaws tomorrow morning. Yay for chinooks and snow-free highways, I've gotta say. Also, for buying most of the people on my list books, for they are easy to wrap and transport.
I present, an exercise in the passive voice:
Done:
Presents wrapped and packed, shortbread and fudge and chocolate bark made, self gotten up and coffee drinked, stockings stuffed for when we get home tomorrow night.
To Do:
Sugar cookies to be either baked or frozen for later (rumballs and mocha shortbread to be made once we're home, since cookies will not be distributed to friends until at least the 30th), kitchen to cleaned, kitty litter to be changed, clothes to be packed, shower to be taken and hair to be washed, self to be fed more than coffee.
Self to be gotten moving.
Merry Christmas, and best seasonal-type multidenominational greetings all around, everyone!
