Moment of the day

The kindergarten, they are cute. Even if it is like trying to herd chickens.

Very serious small girl to me today: I got up on the wrong side of bed.

When asked, she confirmed that she was indeed having a Terrible, Horrible, No-Good Very Bad Day, and yes, would like a hug.

I was happy to oblige.

they're exactly like herding chickens at that age - but lots and lots of wonderfulness as well. I'm glad you had a hug to spare, cause it sounds like that girl sorely needed one!

The wee ones are pretty adorable. And that particular little girl is always very serious, with the round little face, and the huge eyes. (So sweet!)

But after thiry-five minutes of having an entire kindergarten class in the library, I'm very glad I only have them for one period at a time, not all day. They're just... wow. Very energy-intensive. It's a good thing they're cute. *g*

Cute is a self defense mechanism. Cute is what stops parents from killing infants in the middle of the night. By the time they're not so cute, they don't wake you up so much either.
