Sudden revelation of clarity of vision
Despite the visit to the optometrist taking almost almost two frickin' hours, it was far less painful than anticipated. Yeah, I ended up with a headache from the inevitable eyeball contortions, but they didn't put the cursed drops in until last. Also: One, anything approaching my eyes invokes a large amount of uncontrollable flinching, and two, aforementioned cursed drops? Work REALLY well on me. The optometrist commented on both these things.
This means that nine and a half hours later, my pupils are still visibly dilated. (Effects lasting four to six hours? Suuure...) However, it's not nearly as bad as last time, since I can now focus well enough to read.
The good news--since I didn't care whether or not they used the frames off the display rack, I have my new glasses! The frames are rectangular-oblongish, and a deep burgundy colour, and I love 'em. (Also, the anti-reflective coating is not snowflaking away from the glass, causing permanent blurriness.) It's partly the non-blurriness and partly the shift in my prescription, but everything looks so sharp! And bright! And I swear the colours are more vivid.
However. I had supper at my parents', and made the mistake of having coffee. And now it's one am and I am awake. Sigh.
