On the purchase of coffee and the viewing of film shorts

Last night, I told [livejournal.com profile] troutkitty I had some bad news about tomorrow morning. ... Yes, tragic but true, we were out of coffee!

So, today I wandered over to The Planet on 4th. Alas, they were out of chestnut cream beans again, but I did get some yummy dark roast (Mission Bridge, their house blend). And the cute, very gay boy behind the counter tried to talk me into getting fudge nut flavoured coffee, and when I waffled, he gave me a sample to take home--after telling me that he wasn't supposed to do it, and then giving me very strict instructions on how to store it. *g*

Next week, I shall go see if they have more chestnut cream. I don't usually like flavoured coffee, but this is yummy. Apparently, everyone else thinks so too, which is why they keep running out.

On a completely unrelated note, I found a film short that [livejournal.com profile] queenzulu must see! Cara Pifko from TiW was in "Interviews With My Next Girlfriend," which is not only a lesbian film (with Anne-Marie Macdonald!), but can also be seen online here. And um, I made screencaps. Which I will have to post tomorrow.

But! (points at icon) Cute!

Go! Watch the video! ... if computer capabilities allow and all. Otherwise, I will make you watch it next time you're over. (You're welcome to crash at our place during the write-off, if you'd like.)

Yeah, I watched it. The cute seared my eyeballs. Oh, Alice. Clearly, now that you've finished your dissertation and are a lawyer, monogamy doesn't seem all bad, right?

And, thanks. Maybe this year I'll even come prepared, like with a toothbrush and coffee-buying money. If I go to Future Shop today and sign away my credit future in exchange for a laptop, it's SOMEBODY ELSE'S FAULT. Obviously.

Dated boys, dated girls, finished her dissertation. Went to law school and took out the nose ring, had no time to date anyone. Grew up a bit, but not too much. Ended up with fewer convictions, less patience, but more of a sense of humour. And of course, decided to give monogamy a try. (Which would be a good thing, because Nancy strikes me as the horribly jealous sort.)

And toothbrushes and changes of clothes are a good thing! But given the unnatural amount of effort it took me and [livejournal.com profile] mockingspike to get the damn futon folded back up into a couch, I'm half-afraid it won't fold out again. Heh. We'll see. Laptop=good, but if you decide to get one, extended warranties=very, very good thing!
